| AOQ – Average Outgoing Quality |

| The average level of quality of the units in a lot when it leaves a
point of inspection. AOQ is based on the average quality level of the lot upon
first reaching the inspection point (i.e., the "average
incoming quality," or AIQ).
If the inspection does not result in the exchange of defective units for units
of acceptable quality, the AOQ will be identical to the AIQ. |
