AQL – Acceptable Quality Level
Also known as "assured quality level." An acceptable quality level represents the ratio of conforming units in a given sample lot of a product or process to the maximum number of defective or "nonconforming" units that the sample lot may contain and still be considered of acceptable quality. The ideal acceptable quality level is one wih zero defects or nonconforming units.
