Welcome to the Western Suburbs OD Network Internal Consulting PDN Meeting

OUR MISSION: The Internal Consulting PDN of the Western Suburbs is a special interest group meeting monthly in the Western Suburbs to explore topics centering on internal consulting issues inside organizations across the spectrum of Organizational Development, Human Resources and Training & Development. Learning from one another's experiences and exploring new perspectives and resources are key areas of focus for the group. This PDN invites attendance and perspectives from both internal and external (independent) consultants. This is a forum free of direct marketing appeals or overt networking from those in job transition. This group operates in conjunction with the downtown Chicago and Northwest PDNs and invites participants of those groups to join us.

	Western Suburbs OD Network Internal Consulting PDN Meeting DATE: Thursday, April 15, 2010 TIME: 8:00 am to 9:30 am TOPIC: Trends in Social Media in the Workplace DESCRIPTION: During this session, Lori Threatt, MSE, PMP and President and CEO of Power Analysis, Inc., will talk with us about: · Trends in Social Media and how companies are leveraging it in their operations with customers and staff · Effectively using systems to select, develop and engage employees · Social Media Policy best practices NOTE: To help Lori customize the content of her presentation, please be sure to fill out all the questions included with this program registration. PRESENTER: Lori Threatt, MSE, PMP is President and CEO of Power Analysis, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in planning, developing and implementing solutions that empower organizations to maximize their web and information technology investment. As a seasoned technology entrepreneur, Lori serves on the faculty of the Joseph Business School where she instructs entrepreneurs on social media and ecommerce and she is a member of the strategy team for the Project Eden NGO (Non-Governmental Agency) economic development agency whose mission is to eradicate poverty in third world countries, one community at a time. Lori holds a MS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. LOCATION: Infogix 1240 E.
